Danish first division side Hobro IK have completed the signing of Danish-born Ghanaian winger Danny Kwasi Amankwaa on a one-year contract.
He joined the club after passing trials with the club's reserve side as he was a free agent after being released by FC Copenhagen.
The winger after signing for his new club was full of joy as he tries to salvage his dwindling footballing career after being out of football for a while.
''I have been without a club for a long time, and I am therefore looking forward to getting started again. I think Hobro IK is an exciting club, with a good set-up and a good place for an offensive player like myself. I have already done well and I hope that I can quickly contribute with good play and hard work on the field,'' he told the club's website.
Hobro IK Sporting Director Jens Hammer Sørensen revealed that Danny Kwasi Amankwaa's experience will help the team.
''Danny has trained in the last week so that club and player could look at each other and I am happy that we can now present such a talented player as Danny Amankwaa. Danny is a very talented player with great experience from FC Copenhagen and his stay abroad in Hearts of Midlothian, and a player with his talent and CV we, in Hobro IK, rarely come close to,'' he said
