Ghanaian striker Kwaben Owusu scored his first ever goal for his club Qarabag FK in the UEFA Europa league but it was enough enough as they were beaten 3-1 by Spanish side Villareal at home on Thursday evening.
The home side opened the scores through Kwabena Owusu in the 78th minute of the game after a goalless first half at the Tofiq Bakhramov Stadium.
Villareal then quickly responded with an equalizer through Yeremi Jesus Pino Santos in the 80th minute of the game.
A late brace from Spanish striker Paco Alcacer in the 84th and a penalty in added time gave the Spanish side a come from behind 3-1 triumph over the home team.
Owusu was replaced by Tural Bayramov on the 89th minute of the game.
The Ghanaian striker has scored three (3) goals in his 8 appearances for Qarabag FK in the ongoing season.
